Auburn Academy's curricular programme centres around a trio of pillars, known as the Three A's: academics, athletics, and the arts. Every student's Academy experience will involve each of these three areas, providing breadth to Academy students' education. Within this framework remains a significant amount of flexibility that allows students to pursue and spend additional time on their interests, providing depth in each student's chosen areas of concentration. This emphasis on a balance between depth and breadth defines the Auburn Academy educational experience.
All students must fulfil a rigorous set of graduation requirements to complete the Academy's academic programme.
The baseline requirement is the successful completion of at least 50 course units. Students accrue one course unit for every term-length course completed; students earn two course units for each year-long course.
To ensure the breadth of each student's academic programme, the Academy also has 'Distribution Requirements', which prescribe a minimum number of course units to be earned in each of the areas of English; Fine Arts; Health, Human Development, & Life Skills; Mathematics; Physical Education & Athletics; Science & Engineering; Social Science; World Languages; and Writing.
Auburn Academy prides itself on the many unique opportunities afforded to its students that offer rich, immersive experiences in a wide variety of subject areas, preparing them for success in university, further specialised training, or the workforce.

The Academy provides extensive advising and support services to all students, which aim to guide students along their intended career and academic path while nurturing the development of healthy life, study, and metacognition skills.
Students have access to advising and academic support through multiple channels, including their Head of House, their academic advisor, and career and university counsellors. The Centre for Teaching and Learning is another source of support, offering peer tutoring and metacognition curricula.
The primary goal of Auburn Academy's advising programmes is to develop resilient life-long learners who possess the necessary mindset, skills, and coping mechanisms to successfully navigate the challenges and rigour of their future academic work and careers.
The different areas of study offered by Auburn Academy are organised into academic units, which include departments, centres, and institutes. Some of these units consist of constituent programmes, each with a specific focus on a particular subfield.
